Title
Eat the Basic 7: Every Day!
Subject
The proper nutrition for the home front population to eat
Description
Food wheel that demonstrates how much food and what types of food should be eaten. This poster informs the population on the various foods that they should eat in order to have a healthy diet. There is an emphasis on produce, as three of the seven sections of the chart refer to different types of vegetables: "Green and Yellow", "Oranges, tomatoes, and grapefruits", and "potatoes and other vegetables and fruits". The easiest way for the home front population to access these vegetables was to grow them in a victory garden.
